The Kingdom of DarkDragonWing Concept
The Kingdom of DarkDragonWing is built at the foot of a colossal wing-shaped mountain where the Great Dark Dragon, Ragnarth, lies beneath the world itself. The Wing itself is rich with deep mineral veins, and its most prized resource is dragon gold, traded across the kingdom as the foundation of its wealth and power.
Dragons live across the Winglands as highly intelligent beings, sharing the terrain with humans through long-standing bonds. They are not tame creatures, and they are not uniform in nature. Each dragon carries its own will, pride, and instinct. Some are calm and remain near human settlements, others are territorial and live in the high cliffs and deep mountain valleys. Many join local human communities to defend shared territory and interests across the Winglands.
King Aelric, still ruling, stands as the unifying force of the Kingdom of DarkDragonWing. His ancestors once gathered the scattered clans and formed the foundation of the kingdom, but it is Aelric who now holds it together in its most dangerous era. Under his leadership, the Wing Armies remain structured through discipline and coordination between riders and dragons, maintaining order across a realm constantly shaped by tension and survival.
Peace held for generations until Sylvaris rose to power in the Kingdom of IronScale, a distant realm built on conquest, expansion, and absolute control. In IronScale, dragons are drawn to ambition and power, often joining Sylvaris willingly in pursuit of expansion, territory, and the spoils of war. His forces grow through conquest, absorbing lands and resources into a widening empire.
At the head of IronScale stands Sylvaris, a ruler consumed by expansion and hunger for resources. His greatest weapon is Embrax, a dragon of overwhelming aggression and destructive presence, leading IronScale’s advance as a force of pure war.
When IronScale turned its gaze toward the Winglands, the invasion began with coordinated strikes across the skies and mountain passes. IronScale’s war-driven dragon forces clashed with the independent rider-wings of DarkDragonWing. Battles spread across air and land, forcing both sides into constant movement and escalating conflict.
King Aelric leads the defense of his kingdom through commanders who hold the Wing Armies together, protecting mining routes, settlements, and the dragon gold that sustains the realm. But as IronScale advances, even the strongest formations begin to strain under the weight of prolonged war, pushing the Winglands toward breaking point as entire regions fall into contested control and dragon flights vanish into battles that stretch across the mountain ranges.
Deep beneath the Wing-shaped mountain, Ragnarth stirs for the first time in ages as the presence of Embrax spreads across the battlefield. The clash between the two forces awakens an ancient instinct within him, a recognition of a rival power moving too close to the heart of the world. The silence beneath the kingdom fractures as the Great Dark Dragon begins to rise by the need to confront a threat that echoes through the Winglands themselves.
